Since 2020 Future Cities Lab (FCL) Global helps to shape sustainable cities and settlement systems through science, by design, in place, over time.

Research in the second phase of FCL from 2015 to 2020 was structured around three problem-oriented and transdisciplinary research ‘scenarios’ that link science, design and specific places.
Future Cities Lab I:

The first phase of Future Cities Laboratory started in 2010 through August 2015. Research in phase 1 was organised in 10 research modules and 3 Assistant Professorships.
